1. Thoughts on Tabitha. Thinking about how things will be different if she is around. I haven't been thinking much about her lately but because I met her eldest sis the other day, and the way she talks reminds me of Tabitha. I really miss her, badly.
2. How much I appreciate my friends in University right now. I think I finally grasp the meaning of true friendship and how friends play a really big role especially now, when I'm far away from home, far away from my comfort zone. I feel like I have stepped out of my comfort zone multiple of times now that I am in KL. Feels pretty good most of the time. But sometimes there is a need to just step back into it and reflect on life. Like right now.
3. Thinking how complicated relationships can be. Our feelings is just one pile of mess on its own. When it comes to relationships, it just defies all logic and reasoning. Like you can knock a ton of sense into someone, let him/ her see the big, clear picture but at the end of the day, 'feelings' is the one that screws up everything.
4. Worrying about how I am doing this semester. It is not going the way I want to. Been procrastinating so much lately. It's like having things done at the last minute, has become a habit. I am settling for "as long as I pass" instead of wanting to do well. Get your head together, Kelsey.
5. I really really miss home.
6. I just want to run. Is this a form of escapism?
7. I want to talk to that someone, someday. Like have a proper conversation.
Have I mentioned that I really wanted to be a musician? Maybe in another life. As of right now, I can't play any musical instrument, not even the guitar although I did try to learn some chords which I have forgotten :B And not to mention how tone deaf I am. Oh God why?
If I have a boyfriend who can sing and play the guitar/ piano for me, that'd be awesome :D
Then maybe next time I can force music lessons on my children. Haha I kid.
You know how when you are angry and your mind is filled with angry thoughts and you just spit out the first thing that comes out of your mind without actually filtering it?
I have done that once (that I recall of). I didn't exactly say it out but I wrote it in my blog (I have already deleted the post) and X actually read it and was hurt by what was written.
I suppose I didn't have the right to trash X that way. But refer to the first line again. I was really mad and when you are angry, any logic or reasoning just doesn't apply. I felt bad also after knowing that because I normally would not simply hurt people's feelings.
Theoretically speaking, I have always imagined myself walking away in an angry situation. But realistically, I don't know if that actually happens. Or if I'll just say what is on my mind at that instance.
And all that bullsh*t about "I didn't mean what I said" is pure bullsh*t because when you are angry, that is exactly what you meant to say.
I am not sure where I am going with this. If given the chance to properly meet X, I will apologise. And not apologising yet kinda bugs me now. Rawr.
On the bright side!
I donated my blood again! But this time round, I flinched a little when the needle penetrated into my skin and so the after effect is a swollen mark at my arm with clots of blood around it. Normally it should not look like this so don't be afraid to donate your blood, dear readers.
It looks like an infection, doesn't it?
Instead of focusing on the blood clot and the geli-ness of the condition of my arm, my mom said, "Wahh, you very fair already, ah girl" =.=
And I also pledged as an organ donor with my mother's permission! Doing good does feel good!
I have pledged. Have you?
Exam is just around the corner! And after that I'll be done with Semester 2. Oh how time flies!
Let me list down all the random things I did/ experience today
1. As usual, my Malaysian Studies teacher is obviously anti-government. Every week during class, I am afraid some ISA dude will barge into class and capture all of us.
2. Everything that I've learned in Pengajian Am is pointless cos I don't remember a thing. And now things get even more complicated because the names are all in English
3. The jam in KL is NO joke.
4. I had to ring my cousin a total of 7 times to wake her up this morning.
5. My cousin did not brush her teeth today. Eeeeww gross.
6. I've spent all my RM 250 book voucher. Yipee!
7. I'm supposed to be back in Malacca now.
8. I'm supposed to be finishing my reflective paper. Alright, back to assignment-ing!
And the Internet is rather slow. Okay let's look on the good side. At least I am still able to go online :D
I have this mid-term paper coming up on 24th October and an assignment which is due the same date. I feel really really stressed out right now. There's not much information which can be found online and those which I found are not credible. OMG. When did coursework become so tough? When? WHEN??
And I don't know what to study for mid-term. Actually I know but... everything is in a mad rush. T.T
I wanted to register for MQA this week. Registration opens on 15th October at some ungodly hour. I went to the Registry at 9.30 am and the quota was filled up! What kind of nonsense is this? Isn't office hour at 9 am? Or 9.30 am? =.=
Bodoh.
So now I might have to take Business elective and do Marketing. I don't know what I am getting myself into, seriously. I am scared of taking Business cos I might be alone and that means making new friends and that is tough, wei! When did making new friends become so tough? When? WHEN?
But I am glad that I am able to make more Malaysian friends. Hooray! That means being able to rojak-fy my English :D
I need to get out of my comfort zone, asap.
Good news is my uncle is bringing me to buy my new camera this weekend. My posts have been pretty picture-less lately. Will take new photos with le new camera. Can't wait!
Islam is the official state religion, and a strict
version of Shariah law applies to Muslims in two of Malaysia's provinces.
Recently an unmarried woman was fined more than $1,000 for sitting too close to
a man to whom she was not related.
Okay, not really angry mad. More of really irritated.
Maybe it's PMS. Pre-menstrual syndrome.
Or the shit load of assignments to do. And I don't know how to start.
Or the fact that I tried to book an early flight to Singapore but the fee increased.
Or that the stupid credit card transmission cannot seem to get through.
Or that the INTERNET IS STUPIDLY SLOW.
T.T
I give up.
Positive thoughts.
Positive thoughts.
Positive thoughts.
On a brighter note (wahh change mood so fast ^^), I went for a mini charity concert yesterday in Help Main Block. Paid RM 8 for it. Actually I was cheated cos on the promotional poster it said ticket price is only RM 5.
Who's lying now?
Somehow, they sold out those tickets so the ticket I bought was considered as a late-comer ticket. Like that also can -_- But since it was for charity, so I paid willingly lah. The acts were pretty good. Most of them are/ were Help University students. And most of them sang. But it was a night to let go of stress and just take in the music. There were a few guys who played the guitar/ keyboard and they can sing and they got swag, yo! Nice 3 hours to "cuci mata".
:)
Reuben Kang was the emcee for the event. In case you don't know who Reuben is, he is quite famous. (in Malaysia at least). He's one half of Jinnyboy TV. If you don't know who Jin is, he's the DJ for Hitz.fm. If you don't know what Hitz.fm is, seriously WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN LIVING?!!
Ya that dude is Reuben Kang a.k.a the Malaysian version of Psy.
Have you heard this version of Gangnam Style? I kinda like it. Everyone is catching the Gangnam fever. OMGGG. Even one of my lecturers, who looks like Psy, danced this yesterday. Didn't know he was that sporting. @.@
Left : Reuben, Right: Mr Lecturer
People in Help are really cool.
Reuben is kinda cute also. I tweeted him after the concert and he replied
:)
I read this blog about this Singaporean blogger cos one of my friends mentioned her on Facebook and Twitter. I read about how she met her husband online. She was only 21 then and he flew to Singapore to meet her. He's all the way from the States. Really sweet story. But also kinda scary that she took the chance. I mean for all you know, he can be a rapist or a serial killer right? You cannot trust people you meet online.
But aww.. damn romantic lah her story.
I was so sappy after reading it.
Now I hope I'll meet a guy who is as passionate as him. And who would sacrifice everything to be with me.
I would sacrifice some stuff also lah. I'm not that selfish, k?
<3
Although I strongly feel meeting people via the web for the first time is pretty creepy.
:S
Also I feel that she looks so much prettier with her original hair colour. Maybe because I don't really fancy blonde girls. Not that I'm stereotyping them or whatever. I just prefer girls with darker hair colour (?) I think she is beautiful just the way she was, before the surgeries and stuff. People have no right to call her a slut or a prostitute or "plastic" just because she underwent a couple of surgeries.
Who are you to judge, seriously?
I think that was one of the reasons why I was mad also. Because people think its right to call girls names just because they're hiding behind a screen. And like she said, you're no Zac Efron or in my case Ryan Reynolds. You don't have the look or the body and the brain for that matter, so just shut the eff up. No one is passing around judgement about you or calling you ugly. Just shut up and mind your business, assholes.
I watched this Lee Hom's video on Facebook just now. Understood a little bit of what the commentator was saying. At least I think I understand. Suddenly feeling so emotional right now. Wtf pms. Haha. I feel like his journey can be so lonely at times. But the fact that he perseveres and never once gives up to chase after his dream is something to applaud for. That guy, so good looking and such a good role model.
Makes me even more determined to give it my all in Psychology.
I am so fat for someone my size and height. I think I'm obese. Need to start running/ jogging again. So, I went to look for a room in KL today. Found one which was kinda pricey. To me, I don't think it is worth it to pay for that kinda price just for the room with a bed, attached bathroom and one miserable table as my study table. Ok there is the kitchen and they'll provide us with an induction cooker. But I cannot cook! Need to put 'Learn to cook, FAST!' on my list also. I will have 5 roommates since the unit I am staying in has 3 bedrooms. OMGSSSSSS! It really is happening! Will I survive in KL? Ok I probably will. But I am not the friendliest or nicest kid to talk to. I feel like I can communicate better with adults. Is that weird? Or what if my roommates only speak Mandarin. Holy shitssss! On the up side is, if I fail to make any new friend, I can always count on Karthik Arun, well sort of. Inhale. Exhale. 'What Doesn't Kill You Only Makes You Stronger!'
Okay. So far this is what I've gathered.
I may sometime dress like a child or a grany (most of the time like a child), but the way I think is definitely like an adult. I got praised today at work. One of the teachers said I was the BEST substitute teacher they had. That I was tough and did things without being told more than once. :)
Just found out that one of the missionaries from my friend's church will be getting married! He's the same age as my brother so he's 24. Wow! Congratulations, Elder Plant!
I love weddings. Too bad this is 24 hours away from Malaysia :(
I am not dead yet! ^^
Just wanted to post a few updates.
I went on a cruise and came back, safely. Thank God. First time experiencing sea sick. It ain't pretty. But the cruise experience was hell of amazing. Loved the variety of food. And good looking Filipino crew members. I'm gonna marry a Filipino guy if all else fails. Lol.
I am still working at a daycare centre. Survived longer than I expected. Was way tougher than I imagined it to be. Kids are kids and all kids are brats. That much I gathered from my experience of working. But at the end of the day, all hate is gone when these little brats give me a hug and a peck on the cheek (well some of them do). However, all great things have to come to an end. With that said, I am left with only 8 more working days. It will be a bittersweet goodbye.
The other day, a few Christian people went around my taman to preach. One of the guys saw me and he started talking to me in Malay. I was shocked! I couldn't understand what he said cos he was too 'pelat' and that was when I realised he thought maybe I was a maid. -.-
Anyway they were Jehovah Witnesses. And he preached to me about knowledge and wisdom from the Scripture. Passed me a pamphlet to read and inside it read 'Do You Know Who The Creator Is?' Flipped through it and again I was surprised that they included Buddhism in it. But in short it said that Buddhism was a religion that was not proven. And that it's followers based everything on superstitions. Which in short meant that Buddhism has no creator? I was dumbfounded by that alone and chucked the pamphlet away.
He even said, 'Hope to speak speak to you again.'
Ya, I don't think so. There will be no next time.
About 5 minutes ago, my tour guide from Indonesia just called me. What a shocker! Haha nice guy.
I'm typing all these using the iPad 2. Not bad but an iPad 2 is definitely not sufficient to replace a laptop/ computer. Still very disappointed with its low quality camera. Blehhh...
What happened to all my spacings?!
